The Banff Housing Corporation manages an inventory of 133 rental units in Banff. These rental units are available to eligible Banff residents through the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.

Before you download the Rental Application, review the Eligibility and Guidelines above to ensure you qualify for the program and have your supporting documentation ready for submission.

There are minimum and maximum income qualifiers for each unit type to ensure that tenants are not paying more than 32% of their gross household income on housing costs, which aligns with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s (CMHC) guidelines for affordability. Unit selection is restricted by household size to ensure the inventory is optimized.

*Applicants to the rental program acknowledge that they are applying to a waitlist where eligibility requirements may change over time.

Acknowledgement

In the spirit of truth and reconciliation, we honour and acknowledge that we live, work, and play on Treaty 7 lands – the traditional territories of the Iyârhe Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, Dene, Mountain Cree and Métis Nation of Alberta District 4 within the Battle River Territory.

We are grateful to those whose territory we reside on and acknowledge the many First Nations and Métis who have lived and cared for these lands for generations.
